Happy New Year! My family celebrated New Year’s Eve with with good friends from California. All the parents and kids — exhausted from travel — fell asleep by 10:30pm. That resulted in one of the most refreshing and rested New Year’s Days I’ve had in a long time.
In addition to my family’s New Year’s Eve celebration, the Cast of Dads got together a couple days before to close out 2010 and welcome 2011. We discussed parenting topics like holiday traditions, technology gifts, the greatness of bacon and educational lessons you can only experience by missing school. Looking back over the past year, I’m grateful for the rich, entertaining discussions and camaraderie with my fellow Cast of Dads.
